Apex Classes

Apex classes are held at Brownwood Park! We are currently in the planning stages for our Fall term! Teacher recruitment is underway, and all updates regarding classes, registration, and our needs will be posted to the HSL forum for members.

Please note that AHC is a cooperative.  One adult (or more) from each family participates to make our classes work. Also, at all times between classes, parents are solely responsible for supervising their own children.  You can learn more about volunteer requirements, and view more information about locations, class dates and times on the Classes at AHC page. Class costs can be found on the Registration Fees page.

About Registration:

Class registration is on a first come, first served basis.  Most of our classes are limited in size to ensure that each student has a good experience.  Once a class is full, we will form a wait-list for the class, and will consider options to meet the needs of those students.  By registering early, you give us time to make any possible adjustments.  Some of our classes also have a minimum number of students required.  For example, a discussion class can't function effectively with only one student.  In the case that a class doesn't "make", we will contact those families effected to find a substitute class or make other arrangements.

Click HERE to view our class matrix for the upcoming or current term. Note classes are marked as CLOSED before registration opens and after they fill during registration. Only members of AHC are able to click through to more information on the classes. Please email us at atlantahomeschool@gmail.com if you need more information.

How to register:

1. Become a member of AHC by following this link (https://www.homeschool-life.com/ga/atlantahomeschoolcoop/), filling out the membership form and paying your membership fee. You will need to fill out this form each academic year.  If you haven't already filled it out, please do so now.

2. Fill out the registration form for each child attending classes or toddler care. Class registration is done through our Homeschool-Life website.

3. Sign up for your volunteer spots. Parents can register for their volunteer positions through our Class Registration system. Parents are required to volunteer for 3 duties during the class term. Teaching a class counts as 2 duties, most other volunteer positions (including class assistant) count as 1 volunteer duty. Learn more about this HERE

4. Pay your registration fees. All registration and class payments are paid via HSL at the time of registration. If you have questions about Scholarships please contact ahctreasurer@gmail.com. All scholarship inquiries should be made prior to registration opening.
